2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin along the north side of Harlan County reservoir. Bedroom #1 which we refer to as the "fishing bedroom" has a queen bed and extra space for a cot or air mattress if you want to bring one. Bedroom #2, aka the "hunting bedroom" has 2 twin beds and a full size bed. 6 people stay comfortably, 7-8 can be accommodated if you want people to sleep on the couch in the living room. Fresh linens, bath, and kitchen towels provided.
Full kitchen with all the cookware you will need (refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, crock pot, toaster etc). Living room/dining room face the lake. 1 bathroom that has a shower only. Cabin is air conditioned. The back deck faces the lake and ponderosa pine trees line the yard for shade and relaxation. A picnic table is in the back yard and you can use our Traeger grill, we make sure there are plenty of pellets for you.
Fire pit and lawn chairs are in the back yard for evening entertainment. There is plenty of room for whatever yard games you want to bring. Blue Tooth speakers for your music are provided.
Easy lake access and we catch fish off the bank below the cabin all summer long and you can use our canoe if you want to explore the lake or the cove below the cabin where we also catch fish. Bank fishing does slow down in August. Boat launching both north and south of the cabin at Methodist, Hunter, or Gremlin Cove, they are all three less than a 10 minute drive.
This is a cabin with an approximate size of about 850 SF. We sit on the north side of the lake across from Prairie Dog bay. The weekends are great but if you can find a way to stay during the week it is wonderful as the lake traffic is less than 25% of what it is on the weekend and these are some of the best days to be out on the water or at the beaches.
We winterize the cabin in November, however, if there are any waterfowl or muzzleloader deer hunters who want to stay please message me and we can look at opening it back up for you if you were planning on staying for several days. We normally open back up at the end of April, so same goes if there are any early season walleye fisherman who want to stay.
As you can see from the photos Harlan County reservoir is a hunter and fisherman's paradise. Our cabin reflects this in it's décor and how it is set up. If you like to hunt, fish, or relax at the lake come stay with us.
