Enjoy all that downtown Steamboat has to offer when staying at Waterside Village Condominiums. Located right on the Yampa River, this immaculate condo has beautiful views of Howelsen Hill and the surrounding mountains from the private balcony. It is an easy walk to everything in downtown Steamboat! The Rodeo, Old Town Hot Springs, and all the best restaurants and shops in town are right outside your door.
This 2 bedroom / 2.5 bath unit has a 1 car heated garage and a huge deck overlooking the Yampa River. Little toots park is also right next door if you need a place to entertain your kids at a great playground or next to that is our award winning public library if it’s a rainy day. In the winter you can watch skiers on Howelsen Hill and in the summertime tubers, kayaks and rafts floating down the Yampa River. If you happen to plan your stay in Steamboat over July 4th or Winter Carnival weekend, one of the best views for the fireworks is right from your balcony!
When entering the main floor of the condo there is a comfy nook to hang your coat and remove your shoes. You then walk past an immaculate kitchen with slab granite counters, stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space for the family chef to prepare a wonderful meal. Next is a ½ bath off the main hall way that leads to the dining area and open living room. There is also additional seating at the bar top off the kitchen if you entertaining friends and family. The living room has a couch and leather chair where you can warm your toes by the gas fireplace and catch the big game on the huge flat screen (Smart TV) with surround sound speakers. The large floor to ceiling windows in the living room will frame your unobstructed views of Howelsen Hill and the Yampa River. Heading out from the living room is your own private balcony with patio furniture and gas grill where you can enjoy a cold local brew while watching the sunset.
The stairs to the second floor lead you to the master bedroom that has a king bed, flat screen TV and massive glass patio doors that look out over the river. The master bathroom includes his and her sinks, a jetted tub and also a glass enclosed shower. The second bedroom has a king bed (that can also be split into 2 twin XL’s), a flat screen TV and also an attached full bathroom. This unit also has central Air Conditioning if needed during the warmer summer months (the vast majority of rental units will not have A/C).
You are just a block or two from all the action in downtown Steamboat Springs. So you will have a peaceful place to relax while on vacation, but also a great location that is walking distance to all the hot spots in town!
During the summer months you can walk to the Farmers Market on the weekend, see a Free Summer concert at Howelsen Hill, ride your bike along the Yampa core trail, go tubing down the river or wet your fly in the gold medal waters of the mighty Yampa! The base of Howelsen hill is the center for summertime fun with volleyball courts, tennis courts and baseball diamonds, kickball, softball and the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo grounds house weekly events throughout the summer.
If you are looking for more action, take a ride down the Alpine Slide (The Howler) or hit the local trails on Emerald Mountain for incredible mountain biking or trail running. Emerald Mountain is home to miles and miles of smooth and inviting singletrack trails - the best cross-country mountain biking in Colorado. You will be free to explore endless combinations of trails and loops among the aspen trees and lodge pole pines.
When the snow starts to fly, you can cross the pedestrian bridge over to Howelsen Hill where there is a great ice skating rink and also snow tubing! One of the cheapest lift tickets in Colorado is also at Howelsen Hill, the oldest continually operated ski resort in Colorado. If you prefer Nordic skiing, there are over 13 miles of groomed trails in the winter as well. You can also try your hand at Fat biking on snow too! To head to the Steamboat Ski Resort, you only have to walk ½ block to the free city shuttle stop where it will take you to the base of the ski resort. You can also rent ski and boards right next door at the One Stop Ski Shop.
