Outdoor fans, try the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Enjoy the old-fashioned style streets and shops in Chester and Frenchtown. For art enthusiasts, the 35-acre Grounds for Sculpture Park also has a museum, an arts building, and a shop. It’s a city/resort area, complete with the infamous boardwalk with saltwater taffy and roasted peanuts galore, and beachfront. The Towne of Historic Smithville is a quaint colonial-style shopping district, and breathe in art with the Atlantic City Arts Center. The Historic Boardwalk hall hosts professional sports and family entertainment.

Wonderful times are ahead at the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in towns like Ocean City, Wildwood, and Cape May, where the waves, sand, and sun are only part of the fun. Outdoor activities include boating, camping, hiking, and birding, especially in Cumberland County, having several key spots for the birdwatching. This area is also a shopper’s delight, with places like Dutch Neck Village, the Cumberland Mall in Vineyard, and the Washington Street Mall in Cape May.
